Credentialing Connection, Inc. (CCI) is a wholly owned, subsidiary of the Medical Society of Delaware. Credentialing Connection currently offers two distinct services: a primary source verification service and a physician application completion service. CCI’s primary source verification service can help reduce staff time and hassle factors related to credentials verifications. Members of the service (i.e., managed care organization, hospital, outpatient center, surgi-center, medical aid unit, home care provider, skilled nursing home provider, preferred provider organization or a behavioral health organization for initial credentialing/initial appointment or recredentialing/re-appointment) simply forward information submitted by a physician or other health care practitioner to Credentialing Connection. CCI has a standard application already for your use. It complies with accreditation requirements. Applications can be sent by you or CCI can send the initial credentialing/appointment or on a pre-populated recredential/reappointment application. Upon receipt of this information, CCI will verify the applicant’s credentials through primary source verification procedures track the credentials information and provide the client with weekly pending reports and a final summary report that includes all necessary information for the organization to make a decision regarding provider participation. If you are an accredited program, seeking accreditation or adhering to accreditation standards you know the importance and requirement of accurate, quality and efficient credentialing for your accreditation.
